I'm a former chef with over 20 years experience in restaurants. I also never write reviews but I had such a nice experience I felt obligated. I'm six months new to Oneonta and on my family's advice had been ordering from China 19. Which has been all right with no real complaints except for the that you can tell most of the food was probably not prepared in-house and most likely out of a can or freezer or even worse dreaded Sysco products. So anyways back to number one Chinese I ordered last night and picked it up. Whenever given the opportunity I always try to peek in the kitchen and did so. It was nice and comforting to see how clean it was and organized. It was a good sign that the people cared about food.Now down to the food. You can tell by the vegetables used and the quality of the product that these people really do care. Everything was prepared nicely and had a nice homemade taste about it especially the sweet and sour sauce you could tell it was homemade. I will definitely be ordering again from this place the food exceeded my expectations from the small little restaurant and comforting knowing that the food products were well cared for and prepared in a clean environment.

I love they're food love the fried rice.

Absolute Best Chinese food I have had not only in this area but anywhere I've been. Really fried rice and great cold sesame noodle and Sesame chicken and I could go on. If in the area check it out!

Great customer service and fast service. Best parking is on the left of the building. The lady that helped us made our food right away and the portion for the combo platter was way bigger than expected! My fiance and I shared a chicken and broccoli combo platter with fried rice. The chicken is tender and juicy and the broccoli is cooked well and not undercooked. The fried rice is well cooked and tasty. Would recommend to anyone looking for classic Americanized Chinese food!

Every time I pass this place I don't see many cars there. It's unfortunate because the place has excellent food. I went there with a friend and had lunch there and it was fantastic food. I highly recommend this place.

There is a lot of negative reviews which is weird to me. I've tried a couple different Chinese places here in oneonta and I was completely let down (I hate chewy/fatty chicken) But I've never had a bad time here, always hot and not a long wait for the food and always has great flavor and the chicken is never fatty. Def my favorite place to order from.

This is my fourth visit with number 1 Chinese for takeout, the prices are fair, considering inflation is rampant everywhere and on everything. The food was absolutely the best, not greasy but not dry. I had a sliced chicken and shrimp combo platter, with wonton soup, crab Rangoon, and egg roll, everything was delicious and promptly ready for me at pickup 15 minutes later All for under 20 before tax.

Only do take out so I’ve left atmosphere blank. But their Chinese food is the best in Oneonta The owners are lovely!! Portions are large.
